Anyone involved in sporting activities
which are conducted remotely from immediate medical support
must develop self-reliance in first aid knowledge and
skills. This ensures that they are equipped to manage
first aid incidents which are bound to happen from time
to time. This becomes self evident when undertaking activity
risk assessments (see Risk
Management Policy).
The Perth Bushwalkers Club Inc encourages
all members, and especially leaders to maintain their
first aid qualifications and skills by subsidising recognised
training courses (see Training
and Development Policy).
