This message is going to all those bushwalkers/club reps & others who may be interested in attending part-time at the HikeWest stall (site #5) at the Hyde Park Fair, Sunday 28 Feb. - Monday 1 March (Labour Day long weekend). See the attached flyer and other info. about the day.

Following on the success of the Hyde Park Fair in March last year and the Have A Go Day in November - both well attended by club reps -  this is another excellent opportunity for your club to help promote bushwalking / hiking and to engage directly with a large, relevant audience, and to attract new members; - and of course also to promote the upcoming WA Hiking Expo (2 May).  Paddy Pallin has once again donated an Osprey day pack as a lucky draw prize which will no doubt attract good numbers to engage at our marquee as previously.

We’ll be keeping the marquee attended from 10.00am to 5.00pm on the Sunday and 10.00am to 4.00pm on the Monday. Our stall location at Site #5 is within 100m of Vincent Street (from Gate 1, opposite the end of Norfolk Street; see map below & attached).

The COVID-19 requirements for the event will require adherence to 2sq metre rule for internal marquee numbers, so we will be limited to 5 people at a time inside the marquee and all should adhere where possible to the social distancing of 1.5m rule. Frequent hand washing is recommended and HikeWest will provide hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes at our site.
